Transformation Tuesday Weight Loss Progress

So I was wearing the same pants and top and was curious as to what the difference was. These pants seem to be slipping a little when I walk. Little change so far.

Get Motivated, Start Working Out To Get Fit Now Not Later

I don't know how many times I've quit after getting minimal results. I thought to myself it was enough, I feel accomplished, only to slip back into bad habits and have all my hard work I did in that short period of time go to waste. I always think, what if I kept it up for a year or longer.. where could I be now, what could I have accomplished. Would I feel less miserable?

Nutrition boils down to simple chemistry and math. Burn more, eat less. You don't want to eat too much less, you still need to keep that metabolism going, so remember to eat small meals at least every few hours. And remember you have to burn 3,500 calories to burn off a pound. Do you have to sit at a gym for hours until you burn that much in one sitting? No. Your body is constantly burning calories all day.. so don't worry if you don't put in a whole lot of time at the gym, if your just starting 30 minutes a day a few times a week is a good start. Build from there.

Same as the first picture... be patient and just keep going. Imagine where you'll be next year at the same time. No one ever got overweight or unhealthy by making healthy choices and exercising. You didn't pack on the pounds over night.. you won't lose them over night either, or in a month for that matter. There is no short cut to lose weight. You need to put the work in, and the results will be your reward. Try keeping a weight and fitness diary, record your weight, how many reps you did each time at the gym to remind yourself of how far you've come. Take pictures to create a visual timeline of your progress. It will remind yourself of how far you've come, and not to give up and throw all your hard work away.

You want to see results, it's simple... workout. Find something that you like to do and stick with it. Exercising should be fun. Try zumba, boxing, exotic dancing, cross fit, running.. whatever YOU WILL DO to keep you motivated and wanting to work out.

Want to inspire others, get started now. Changing your habits and getting results may be enough to motivate others. Once they see you dropping the pounds and getting in shape they may consider that inspirational enough to start themselves.

Try to push yourself a little more each time, you want to build up your endurance and strength.. Not stay the same. If you want to see results, push yourself a little harder each time. And give it your ALL, remember your doing it for you.. and YOU ARE WORTH IT.

Weigh In Wednesday

I started off my journey at 350 lbs. according to my doctors scale. Give or take, I think the nurse was trying to be nice when she was evening out the scale. I knew I wasn't trying really anymore, but I didn't really know how out of control my weight had gotten. That is definitely the highest I've seen the scale. Besides putting back on all the weight I had lost previously times two, I didn't fit into my clothes comfortably, my larger comfy clothes were a bit snug. I tended to reach for sweats instead of jeans to avoid being uncomfortable, especially after eating a rather large meal. My energy levels were low, I had zero energy for exercise. I laid around in bed all day watching t.v. or movies and t.v. shows on the internet via my laptop, phone or iPad  I was just flat out ridiculously lazy. There was always tomorrow to get up and move around, but the thing is that tomorrow never really came, I made no effort at all. Then New Years came around.. I never made a resolution before to lose weight, it seemed a bit tacky and cliche to me, but I needed to start somewhere, and I had a chance to along with a ton of other people and a huge support group community on Facebook. I decided to hop in on my first 24 day Challenge, that of course went way beyond 24 days. I just love the energy!!

How do I feel today? I have more energy, I eat more healthy and am more aware of how good I feel when I eat good foods vs. how crappy I feel when I don't. I've known for awhile what a balanced meal is, and what good nutrition is from my own research and a bit off college classes I've taken towards my nursing degree. The problem is, I just didn't care, I craved and wanted Chips, Pepsi, Snickers.. Burgers, Fries... Fats, Lipids Sugars Yum. I wasn't ready to quit all that, food was literally my drug. It still is a struggle, and you hear it all the time. Moderation. I have these once in awhile. The difference is.. it's not everyday. I had a burger a couple weeks ago to satisfy my craving... calm the lion so to speak  I ate half the burger, half the fries, half the Pepsi .. and gave the rest to my son who just got home from school that day. He was more than happy to share with me. And I didn't have to deal with saving the left overs for later. I was satisfied and moved on to better foods for my next meal.

I'm glad I started this journey, and pray everyday I can stick to it. This is actually the longest I've stuck to anything, and believe me I've tried just about every stupid thing out there aside from surgery. Fasting, Lemonade diet. I took phentermine for 2 months and dropped 50 pounds, only to gain it back double over a period of time after I quit. I was actually 330 when I started phentermine and dropped down to 280. So I gained it all back plus an extra 20 lbs. Nothing like starting over. The difference this time? It's something I'll be sticking with, a lifestyle change, eating healthy, exercising  something I can stick with for the rest of my life.

Motivational Idea, Pounds Lost Jar, Help Keep Track of Weight Loss

This isn't my idea totally, I like finding things on Pinterest, so I made my own. I've got 35 mini pebbles in my lost jar so far this year. It's nice seeing progress, since at the beginning of the year I started out with nothing. It's great to have a visual in front of you, a daily reminder of how far you've come, and a motivational goal to keep you going to empty the other jar.

Weight Loss Motivation As You Continue On Your Journey

If Your Making Healthy Choices, Your Off To A Good Start

A lot of times we get impatient to see results on the scale and tend to get a little discouraged with the healthy changes we've been making when the scale doesn't reflect what we've been doing. We forget to think about how we've been feeling. Do you feel healthier? Do you have more energy? Think of those as accomplishments too. Even if the scale is staying at a standstill.. just remember how far you've come. Don't look at how much weight you have to lose, remember how much you've lost already.

Not everyone's journey is the same. Some people may drop it making small changes, while others lose slowly. It's all a process of finding out what works for you. I know I don't lose a lot of weight all at once. I have to remind myself to be patient from time to time. I'll drop a pound.. gain a pound, lose it a little at a time in ounces. Then I'll drop 3 pounds over night, and not lose anything the whole next week. Try not to be discouraged by the scale, and if it does bother you that much, try to only step on it a week at a time.

Remember it's a journey, a learning process. It's your personal journey, about you. Find healthy choices you can live with, and build on it from there. And be proud that you've accomplished these changes once you've made them.

Butt Workout 1: Tone Up | 30 DAY BUTT LIFT

Need a kick @ss workout? Here's one. Have fun!! Your @ss  is gonna hurt! :)

Time For Change

I've been a yoyo "dieter" my whole life. I'd change my eating habbits, lose weight then revert back to my old eating habbits putting back all the weight I dropped and then some.
I went to a doctors appointment back in October 2012, and stepped on the scale. I knew it would read around around 300 lbs easily. It read a whopping 350. I knew I wasn't doing a good job eating healthy... but I didn't know how extreme it was causing me to put on 70 POUNDS!? The last time I weighted myself before that I weighed around 278. I was expecting to have put on maybe 20-30 pounds. Boy as I just shocked, embarrased.. and being me.. I just tried to brush it off... like it was no big deal, when it was a big deal. If I kept it up I could easily be 400 or even 500 pounds in a year or 2.
I got on phentermine again. The first time I took it I lost 50 pounds in a couple months. I dropped 8 pounds. Good start.. but clearly it wasn't working as good as the first time. This drug can have that affect. It works on your centeral nervous system.. and what happens? Well your body, like with any other drug, gets used to it and it loses it's effect. I didn't make another appointment for a second perscription. Since paying out of my pocket wasn't worth it. I could lose 8 lbs in a month without this drug.
So I continued on watching what I ate. But I didn't have much energy to exercise. I'd try to get on the bike or treadmill, but lacked the energy and motivation to do so daily.
Here's where AdvoCare came in. My sister introduced me to this product, and like anyone else, I was a bit skeptical. I know you can't just lose weight with supplements alone. She gave me a 24 day challenge for Christmas. AWESOME!!! I was excited to give it a try. So on New Years, I joined a bunch of others who were starting the New Year New You Challenge.
I started the cleanse, and felt good the first day.. eating clean.. drinking lots of water.. and the spark was great. I did feel a little crappy mid way through.. and I can't say if it was a winter cold or the toxins leaving my body.. but it subsided quickly.
Once the 10 day herbal cleanse was finished I was feeling pretty good not to mention 11 lbs lighter! It was time for the MNS stage of the challenge. OH MY GOD! This stage was AWESOME! Can you say ENERGY? I loved it. And even better.. it lasted throughout the day. I finally had the energy I needed to do my workouts and feel great doing them. I wanted to workout.
Today (4/19/13) I weigh 315 lbs. And still have the energy I need to complete my workouts and stay on track. I'm loving this AdvoCare Journey so far.

Probiotic Benefits

Antibiotics are great for killing off infections and bacteria. Unfortunately they also kill off the good bacteria that aid in digestion and protect our bodies from harmful foods. Probiotics help restore good bacteria, restoring balance to your digestive tract. For more info and to purchase probiotics click this link.
